Describe a Job You Would Not Like to Do in the Future cue card sample answer 1

Introduction

If we look at the prospect of jobs, in this modern world, there are numerous jobs that one can avail of and make a career out of, but at the same time, it all comes down to interest as well. Today, I will speak on a job profile I would not like to pursue in the near future.

What is the job?

The job that I would not do in the future is telemarketing.

How do you know about it?

I learned about the job when I was looking for jobs that did not require a degree, and telemarketing came up as the first option.

Is it an easy or difficult job?

In my opinion, it is a difficult job because one has many targets to achieve, and the department has some very strict rules as well. It might be easy for people with a knack for these kinds of jobs, but definitely not me.

Why would you prefer to do something other than do it?

I would prefer to do something else because I feel this job profile is not suitable for me. I would get tired of the monotony of working and selling a product or service to other people.

Conclusion

To conclude, telemarketing is a job that I would never pursue in the future and would like to avoid.

Introduction

Various job profiles are available, but certain jobs are quite daunting and tiresome for me, which is exactly what I will be talking about today. Today, I will mention a job that I would not do in the future.

What is the job?

Social Media Marketer is the job that I want to talk about, which I would not like to do in future.

How did you know about it?

I got to know about this job through a friend. That friend of mine was working as a social media marketer and told me all about the different aspects that the job profile entails.

Is it an easy or difficult job?

According to me, the job is rather daunting as one needs to be on one's toes and up to date with the latest trends while handling all the social media platforms.

Why would you prefer to do something other than do it?

I would prefer doing something else because I feel managing and being active on all the social media platforms is an exhausting task and can adversely affect one’s mental health as well. On top of all this, this does not interest me, so I would indulge in something else.

Conclusion

To conclude, there are better career paths than social media marketing for me, even though the world is shifting to online means for its livelihood.

Describe a Job You Would Not Like to Do in the Future cue card sample answer 3

Introduction

When choosing my career as a professional, I looked closely at many options.  I have realised that there are many options that I would never pursue as my career, so today, I will be talking about that particular career path.

What is the job?

The job I would never want to pursue in the future is in the field of Information Technology.

How do you know about it?

I learned about this domain of jobs through my cousins, who were working in the same field and enjoyed it quite a lot.

Is it an easy or difficult job?

Looking at my cousins, this is an easy job, but then, looking at the specifics and details of the job, it would be really tough for me. The main reason behind this is that I do not understand the workings and dynamics of the information technology world, such as coding and programming and would rather stay away from it.

Why would you prefer to do something other than do it?

I would prefer to do something else because I am not interested in learning programming languages and coding-related areas of the IT domain. I have always wanted to be in the creative sphere career-wise, so I would prefer to do something related to the arts field.

Conclusion

To sum up, I would definitely not do the IT profile jobs in the future as I find it difficult and tiresome.

IELTS Speaking Part 3- Follow-up questions

Question- Which sorts of careers do young people prefer?

Answer- Young people in India nowadays are drawn to a variety of professions. My observations show that many young people nowadays are drawn to professions that allow them to express their creativity and innovative side. While some young people choose to work in social media and digital marketing, startups and entrepreneurship, and healthcare, many are drawn to the IT sector and discover opportunities in AI, data analytics, and software development. Teenagers may get a great foundation for their future working careers by entering these kinds of sectors mentioned above, which are frequently more accessible to them.

Question- What factors should people consider when choosing jobs?

Answer-  Certain things, in my opinion, need to be properly thought out before deciding on a job path. First and foremost, money is vital because it enables people to satisfy their basic needs and save for the future.  Jobs that give stability, good compensation, and a sense of pride in one's profession should be taken into consideration. These kinds of employment can improve your attitude at work, motivate you to finish tasks fast, and convince you to stay with the company longer. It is also important to think about one's employment prospects. If a position allows internal advancement or the ultimate goal of founding one's own business, it may attract more applicants.

Question- What skills are essential for success in today’s job market?

Answer- Technological savvy and strong problem-solving skills are crucial in today's workforce. Since technological advancements will continue to alter the types of employment accessible and how individuals perform them, technological skills are vital for success in the modern economy. Many of those abilities, often referred to as transferable or soft skills, will originate from your educational background or experiences like research projects and internships. Transferrable abilities such as cooperation, leadership, flexibility, and good communication are needed in today’s times.

Question- Is it common for people in your country to relocate to different cities for jobs?

Answer- Yes, individuals often relocate to other places in their home country in search of employment opportunities and professional progress. They go to big cities all the time since more jobs and professional options are available. It's considered a wise decision to advance professionally, live a battery-quality life, and get experience in several enterprises simultaneously.
