Introduction

Every school or workplace has certain rules and regulations that everyone must follow. Some like those rules, and some do not. Likewise, today, I am going to share a unique rule that my school used to follow.

What is the rule about?

The rule was that every student had only one lunch break, and everyone had to have their lunch in the playground. No one was allowed to have their lunch in the classroom except when the weather was not fine, and it was raining. All the class monitors ensured every student left the class on time. 

What happens when people break the rules?

Although I have never broken the rule, I have seen other students reprimanded for breaking the rules. There were a few instances when someone was scolded for that, but generally, students used to enjoy their lunchtime and wait to go to the ground. 

Why do you think it is an important rule?

The rule was important to maintain the cleanliness of the classrooms and ensure that students have sufficient sun exposure. 

How did you feel about the rule?

When I was in school, I used to think that the rule was ridiculous and unnecessary, but as I grew up, I understood its importance. Having lunch in the playground kept the classrooms clean and tidy and gave the students time to decompress from studying and have some playtime for themselves. Although the rule was unique, it was important.

Conclusion

To conclude, I feel that rules, in general, are important, and as kids, we might not understand their importance, but they are essential for creating discipline in life.

Introduction

Rules are meant to be followed as they bring uniformity and a balance between all the workers at the workplace. Today, I am going to share an experience where I learned the importance of one such rule. 

What is the rule about?

The rule was to wear the court uniform. Rather than having a particular dress code, all the employees and interns were asked to wear black and white, which could be any form.

What happens when people break the rules?

If anyone broke the rule, he/ she was restricted from going to court and received a good scolding from the head of the firm. Adhering to certain rules is imperative in a professional space; it creates a sense of discipline and uniformity in the office space as it did in our schools. 

Why do you think it is an important rule?

I think the rule is important because it is written in the law that one should always be in black and white while appearing before the court and for the interns to get used to the ropes. Also, having a uniform eliminates workplace judgment based on clothing and creates a sense of uniformity for achieving professional goals.

How did you feel about the rule?

In my opinion, having a uniform rule is good because it eradicates bias and judgments in the workplace and creates a sense of togetherness. It helps align one's energy from other things to work.

Conclusion

To conclude, I would say that I understood the importance of uniforms from interning in the law firm and the value they hold while appearing before the court. Overall, I understood that rules are important for any workplace as they create uniformity for each and every employee.

Question- What are the reasons people break the rules?

Answer- There are many different reasons why people breach the law: ignorance, moral or ethical convictions at odds with the law, peer pressure, practicality, or, in rare situations, willful disobedience to the law because it is thought to be unenforced or to have no repercussions.

Question- Should students be involved in making the rules?

Answer- In certain situations, involving children in the rule-making process might be advantageous since it fosters a feeling of justice, accountability, and ownership. Nonetheless, the nature of the regulations, the students' age, and their maturity all affect how much involvement they are required to have. When establishing policies, it's critical to find a balance between the opinions of the students and the knowledge of the teachers and administrators.
