Here is a basic format to answer “Describe Your First Day at School” type of IELTS speaking cue card questions.
In my life, I have attended two schools. When I was three years old, I lived in Jaipur. I enrolled in a primary school that was fairly close to our house. After that, my family decided to change my school and shift me to a renowned school in our city, where I could receive a better education. I attended that school while I was in fourth grade.
I don't remember much about my primary school, therefore I'd want to talk about my secondary school. My school name is XTB Senior Secondary School, Jaipur. It is affiliated with the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
The school building's design was environmentally friendly and green. My classroom was on the second floor of a three-story building. It was double-walled for heat insulation, featured high-efficiency air-conditioning systems, used solar energy, and recycled and treated effluent. Apart from this, all the classrooms across the school were equipped with smart boards, which was quite an interesting thing that attracted me.
After reaching my respective class, we started with the prayer, followed by every student's introduction. Ultimately, our school gave us chocolate as a token of love.
On the first day, I was really concerned because I had heard a lot about the school's rules and how severe they were. Except for one, my classmates were all new. We arrived half an hour early for class and immediately felt at ease as we began to converse with other students.

In the morning, I noticed a half-school. So, I decided to tour the entire campus during lunch. I was roaming around the school after lunch, looking at all the rooms and labs. Although the school's rules were rigid, the teachers were quite welcoming. I went there from ninth to twelfth grade.
When asked which days people enjoy the most. The majority of people will recall their school days. That was a great time in history. Indeed, I intend to return at that time.
I'm going to discuss my first day of school here. This occurred in a small town, Tonk, near Jaipur. I heard from my father, who expressed his delight at the prospect of sending me to school. I was an inquisitive child who loved dressing up and attending school. Wearing a uniform was quite fascinating to me.
I still remember every kid around me was unhappy at school, and several were crying and refusing to let their mothers leave. On the other hand, I was the polar opposite, completely confident and relaxed. On the first day, I made friends and shared my water bottle and snacks with them. Our teacher spoke to us and made us say our names. It was a beautiful day. Also, our teachers made us feel so at ease with them and the rest of the school staff that I began to like going to school.
My emotions were quite positive. I liked my school and was eager to meet new people. It was a nice day away from the routine of everyday life at home. We had activities, and I enjoyed them all, so my first day of school was fantastic.
So, I ended up completing all of my primary schooling over there. Overall, it was a wonderful day, which I’ll always remember in my life.

Question: Do you think students should be taken to school by their parents or go by themselves?
Answer: Children in primary school should not walk alone to school. Parents should either drop them off or arrange for a van or bus. High school and secondary school students can attend on their own.
Question: Should children rely on their parents or be independent?
Answer: Children will always be dependent on their parents. They are still in the learning phase. Therefore, dependency is beneficial till they grow.
