Introduction

Engaging in collective endeavours enhances our collaboration, balance, and coordination capacity. Additionally, working together to benefit society tends to produce a distinct kind of emotion and satisfaction.

What was it?

I want to tell you about a project I worked on some time ago that involved distributing books in a nearby slum area. That incident took place last winter as I was trying to assist those in need. I became a volunteer for a nonprofit organisation by the name of Rays Foundation. Its goal is to provide assistance to homeless people and low-income families through food, clothing, or books.

Who did you do it with?

I worked on this project with a group of volunteers who shared the same enthusiasm as me for assisting the underprivileged. Among us were seniors, professionals, and students from various backgrounds. While some of us had done volunteer work before, others were getting involved in any such thing for the first time.

How long did it take you to do this?

We finished the task in roughly two weeks. We began by knocking on people's doors and requesting contributions of books, stationery, and notebooks. In order to buy new books as needed, we also solicited financial donations.

Explain why you did it together?

Everyone who wanted to support the foundation was present. It was a resounding success. We were at least able to provide books for up to 5th standard (primary education). The individuals we helped bestowed upon us a great deal of appreciation and positive feedback. It was a rewarding experience that helped me understand how important it is to help those in need, particularly underprivileged kids.

Conclusion

All in all, I'm really happy with the work I completed for my community at that time. And I will continue to assist such organisations in the future.

Introduction

Throughout my life, I've worked with numerous teams on various projects that have enhanced my comprehension, abilities, and social skills. However, the experience of working together with my family and relatives was entirely different and wonderful.

What was it?

I want to talk about a time when my brother and I planned a surprise for our grandfather. I distinctly remember that we liked to express our love for our grandfather by celebrating his 75th birthday the previous year.

Who did you do it with?

Because I knew how important it is to work as a team and realised I couldn't do it alone, I decided to do it with my brother. Also, since he has done an event management course, he has a good decoration knowledge, so I leaned on him for a few things.

How long did it take you to do this?

Fortunately, we were overjoyed that day when our grandfather was out of town at a local religious event. I initially believed it would be difficult, given the 3 hours we had. So, I and my wonderful brother decided to split the chores equally. Because I was good in the kitchen, I prepared a cake and some snacks, and my brother assisted me in acquiring or buying everything I needed, including the decorative items.

Explain why you did it together?

Since my grandfather enjoys homemade cuisine, I made sure to prepare everything at home. In addition, because he was passionate about art, my brother created a number of ornamental items. Even though we put in a lot of effort and had a lot of work, we were able to finish all of the preparations on time because of the cooperation and teamwork.

Conclusion

Our grandfather was astounded by the decorations when he first walked into the house, and his enthusiasm was unbridled when he spotted the cake in the lobby. He gave us a hug and thanked us. His eyes were welling with tears. He then cut the cake and showered us with praise and blessings. We both smiled broadly and felt emotional. It was one of the nicest and heartfelt teamwork experiences I've ever had, and I really liked it.

Introduction

Teaming up with others yields constant benefits, and we can conquer the globe as a team. A strong team can be built when several individuals with different talents come together. I'm adamant about working with others on projects that benefit those in my community. It makes me feel good.

What was it?

A pandemic that struck the world recently left many individuals homeless and caused them much hardship. Since many older individuals in our neighbourhood had no one to turn to for assistance, my friends and I made the decision to provide all the services and necessities that they needed.

Who did you do it with?

My neighbourhood buddies and I worked on this project together. Each person assumed accountability for various aspects and fulfilled their designated role. From recognising senior citizens, compiling a list of necessary items, and handling money. and promptly giving them food and medication. My friends banded together to guarantee our senior citizens receive the best care possible.

How long did it take you to do this?

It took a few days to organise and carry out this initiative, and a week later, the entire team was prepared to begin serving earnestly. Everyone was prepared and well aware of their responsibilities; my role was to organise things, make things happen, and make sure nobody had any issues.

Explain why you did it together?

I think we can do everything we set our minds to by working as a team. All we need are individuals who are fully motivated and committed to achieving the team objective. Together, we can conquer any challenge.

Conclusion

Participating in an activity with a group of people can be a lot of fun and a terrific way to develop new abilities and build new relationships. I'm happy I got to collaborate with my friends to make something we can all be proud of.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 : Follow up Questions

Question: How do you get along with your neighbours?

Answer: Having known my neighbours for over a decade, I have an excellent rapport with them. We spend so much time together at one other's homes that it nearly feels like they are a member of our family. We help one another out in good times and bad. There are moments when I feel our neighbours are more significant in our lives than our family members.

Question: How do neighbours help each other?

Answer: Well, neighbours in rural areas are more helpful since they are not concerned with their own personal benefit, but city dwellers are frugal and do consider their own personal benefit. The reason could be that, although everything in cities is expensive, people in villages cultivate their own crops and vegetables, so they don't need to spend extra money on these items.

Question: Do you think neighbours help each other more often in the countryside than in the city?

Answer: Sharing is more common in the countryside since people there have fewer resources and are highly familiar with one another. However, people in cities spend less time together since they are more preoccupied with personal and professional matters. People are less dependent on others in cities since they have access to their own resources.

Question: How do children learn to cooperate?

Answer: Being surrounded by role models such as parents and instructors, kids can learn how to work together with them. From an early age, parents can impart lessons to their children, such as toy sharing and playing with other kids. Speaking about teachers, they have the authority to assign projects and group work to students. Children can improve their harmony, teamwork, and social skills in this way.

Question: Do parents think parents should teach children to cooperate with others? How?

Answer: Without a doubt, parents play a critical role in assisting children in developing their social skills. A vital life skill, cooperation is needed in a variety of settings, such as the community, job, school, and home. Since kids imitate their parents, they will acquire these skills when they witness them collaborating and working together in daily activities and relationships. Parents can help their children practise cooperation by organising cooperative games and activities. Children can also be taught the value of compromise, sharing, and listening to the opinions of others by adults.
