Introduction

A dream house is something every person desires; every person has a different idea about how their house would look like and where they would have their house. Similarly, today, I will discuss my dream house and how I imagine it to be.

Where would this place be?

I want my dream house on the city outskirts so that I can enjoy the calmness of the countryside.

What would it look like?

I want my house to be modular, combining ancient Indian architecture and Scandinavian interiors. It should be spacious and well-designed, equipped with everything, and have a modern and traditional touch.

When would you like to live there?

Ideally, I would like to live in my dream house 10 years from now. I have to be very strategic if I wish to do this and start planning things accordingly.

Why is it ideal for you?

It is ideal for me because I like to work and have peace at the same time. I would definitely like a place where I can have that calmness and peace after a long day of work, and the outskirts of the city will be able to provide that just perfectly.

Conclusion

To conclude, having this dream house would be a dream come true for me, and I will try my best to achieve this in the next 10 years.

Introduction

One can never define perfection, as every person has a different definition. Likewise, the idea of a perfect home also differs for every individual. Therefore, today, I am going to discuss my idea of a perfect home or a dream house.

Where would this place be?

My ideal home would be located in the mountains, with a scenic view and good weather throughout the year.

What would it look like?

It would be a mixture of houses built in the mountains with slanting rooftops but with modern, comfortable interiors in warm colours, a style also known as Mediterranean interior design. I envision my dream home to be a mixture of every necessary thing and more, with lots of sunlight, space and comfort.

When would you like to live there?

I wish to live there in my old age with no responsibilities where I can enjoy in a clean and good environment away from the city.

Why is it ideal for you?

It is ideal for me because the mountains themselves are peaceful. I wish to make this house a getaway place and settle there once I get away from city life. I would like to make it a permanent house in my old age as it would be a mixture of traditional and modern architecture, and the interior would never go out of style.

Conclusion

To conclude, I have always dreamed of having a place in the mountains. I wish to fulfil all these dreams with time.

IELTS Speaking Part 3- Follow-up questions

Question- Do most Indian people live in an apartment or house?

Answer- It depends on the area in which they reside. Because there is a shortage of land in large cities, such as metropolitan areas, most people live in apartments. A rising number of apartment buildings are being constructed to meet the growing demand for residents. However, most individuals live in homes rather than flats in small towns, cities, and the countryside.

Question- Do young people in your country like to live with their parents or by themselves?

Answer-Young people in my nation prefer to stay with their parents unless they need to move to a different city or nation to pursue higher education or better employment opportunities. Living with parents is a common practice among Indian households.

Question- How is modern home design in your country different to that of the past?

Answer- In my nation, modern home designs differ greatly from traditional ones. Modern homes are built with far more sophisticated materials, such as soundproof windows, insulated walls, and weatherproof coatings. They are also designed with the available space in mind, and space is used more efficiently. The houses of the past used to be big but lacked the conveniences of modern technology, such as dishwashers, microwaves, and washing machines.

Question- In your country, what type of home do most people live in?

Answer- India is a big, multifaceted nation. Depending on the location and temperature, people live in a variety of housing styles. For instance, bamboo homes are quite prevalent in India's eastern regions. Slope dwellings are typical in places where there is snowfall. In rural places, individuals build their homes according to the available space and area.

Question- How are modern homes different to older homes?

Answer- Modern homes differ significantly from earlier ones in terms of construction materials, architectural style, and overall structure. Older houses had better ventilation and were larger. Because there is a lack of land these days, modern homes are built to make the most of the available space. These days, individuals plan and decorate their houses with the help of interior designers and architects. It's possible that older houses can't accommodate the newest appliances and electronics.

Question- Do people prefer to live modern Homes or older-style homes (for example, from 50 years ago)?

Answer- Modern homes are more desirable to live in than older homes because they are better suited to managing the newest technological advancements and electrical devices. Modern homes are also made of superior materials; for example, they have earthquake-resistant designs and coatings that withstand weather. Modern homes also have superior floor plans that make greater use of available space.
