Describe an Invention that Changed people's Life - sample answer 1

Introduction

Because of scientific discoveries, life has advanced by leaps and bounds. Almost every aspect of life has been influenced by some kind of invention.

What is it?

Today, however, I want to discuss an invention that has had a profound impact on our entire lives: the Internet.

How has it changed people’s lives?

The internet has altered nearly every aspect of our lives. The most noticeable difference has been in the way we communicate. We can communicate with everyone at any time and from any location. Furthermore, the internet makes it much easier to stay in touch with our friends and family members.

What benefits did it bring?

As communication has become instantaneous, life has become faster. The Internet's impact extends beyond communication. It has influenced how we purchase, learn, and seek medical treatment. We have access to every luxury while sitting in the comfort of our homes. On the other hand, the internet has a few drawbacks. In some ways, it is widely believed that the Internet has reduced respect for older people. We appreciate them less because we aren't as reliant on them for advice or suggestions as we once were. We can look up anything on the internet. If we don't know something, we don't need to ask anyone; we can simply look it up online.

Explain if it is more important to older or younger people?

This makes us more self-sufficient but also makes our grandparents and parents feel less important. Second, because they are less comfortable with computers and the internet, they have not profited as much as the younger generation. Everything is gradually shifting online, and older people find adjusting difficult.

Conclusion

In summary, the invention of the internet has brought more advantages but also a few drawbacks, especially for the young generation.

Describe an Invention Changed people's Life - sample answer 2

Introduction

People have invented many things since the beginning of time to make their lives easier and more comfortable. Today, I'd like to discuss one such product that has essentially revolutionised the way we work and live.

What is it?

This technology is known as "computers," it has arguably been regarded as the most successful and life-changing invention in the previous four decades or more due to its critical importance in solving numerous issues that we confront while performing our jobs.

How has it changed people’s lives?

Computers are used in almost every work, industry, and office today, from storing massive amounts of data and information in a small piece of hardware to calculating very complex mathematical problems in a fraction of a second to assisting people in different parts of the world in communicating with one another. Because of technology, we can complete complex tasks at work in minutes rather than weeks. Furthermore, the computerised system allows manufacturing businesses to produce hundreds of automobiles in a single day, which would have taken years to accomplish.

What benefits did it bring?

Undoubtedly, computers can be a true and valuable asset that one can hold. It has provided enormous value in discovering several fresh discoveries in space and in other types of inventions. So, in reality, the benefits of computers are innumerable, whether we are simply browsing the internet, or sorting out the vast and complex data, or attempting to calculate the rotation speed of a new planet in a new solar system.

Explain if it is more important to older or younger people?

The best thing about the computer is that everyone, regardless of age or professional affiliation, uses it and benefits from it in some way or another.

Conclusion

So, in any case, computers have altered our lives by not only making us more productive at our homes, workplaces, and businesses but also by providing us with a sense of mental relief. Furthermore, it has aided us in making new discoveries that will result in several benefits for humanity.

In today's world, everyone has a smartphone. Smartphones play an important role in daily life. It was first used in 1992. Smartphones are well-received by the general public. IELTS Speaking Part 3 : Follow up Questions

Question: How has technology made our life easier?

Answer: Life has grown more convenient with the advancement of technology. So much so that it is difficult to imagine a world without electronic instruments. We've become reliant on them in some way. We can now see the entire world from the comfort of our own homes. Online meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, and other similar tools have successfully brought us together under one roof.

Question: Which invention do you think is most useful at home?

Answer: Well, I believe that kitchen appliance inventions are more useful because people work around the clock and generally struggle to cook food. So, with the help of a mixer grinder and blender choppers, they can now easily cook enormous quantities of meals. Apart from this, other household equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers, are also useful.

Question: Is it more difficult for old people to accept new technologies?

Answer: I believe that change is tough for everyone and that the difficulty grows with age because the amount of time needed to learn new technologies increases with age. Rather than viewing it as an issue, I believe we should work on methods to make it easier for our elders to accept them.

Question: What can be done to help old people learn to make use of new technologies?

Answer: We can teach them the fundamentals of computer operation as well as language training and technical jargon. This can help them understand technical terms and handle modern equipment more easily.

Question: Will our life be better if we live without technology?

Answer: I don't believe so because most technology is essential to our daily lives. We couldn't imagine life without them. If a person uses a mobile phone on a daily basis and forgets to bring it to work, he would ponder about the messages or calls on his phone throughout the day, which is the truth. Technologies, on the other hand, have their set of drawbacks. For example, if we don't have a phone, we'll be thinking about different issues, such as nature or the environment, which I believe can increase our mental satisfaction.

Question: Why have many inventions occurred in the last 100 years?

Answer: People are now literate. They are more innovative, and their expectations have risen. So, every time, scientists create inventions to make this planet habitable so that humans can live comfortably.
