How to Register for IELTS

The process to apply for the iELTS is quite straighforward. Follow our guide for a seamless IELTS experience.

Step 1 – Find the Nearest IELTS Test Location

IELTS Exam is conducted on paper and computer. Candidates have to choose a test center. There are 1600 IELTS Test locations in over 140 countries where the exam is held.

Step 2 – Register for the IELTS Test

Candidates can register themselves for the IELTS exam either online or offline.

  • Go to the official website of IELTS and log in.
  • Find & select the option “Register for IELTS”.
  • Now choose your preferred mode of taking the test (computer or paper)
  • After that choose between the General or the Academic test.
  • Next pick the test location closest to you. Also, choose your exam date.
  • Fill in all the required details, review the application and finally submit it.
  • Take a printout of your application for record keeping.

Step 3 – Your IELTS Test is Booked

Once candidates submit their form, they will receive a confirmation mail with the following details. This mail will prove that candidates have successfully registered for the exam.

  • Test Centre
  • Exam Date
  • Exam Time
