Introduction

I originally read it while I was a college student. I went to a bookstore with a friend, although I was specifically seeking for novels and storybooks at the moment. It greatly boosted my optimism and offered the self-assurance I needed to excel at work and raise my overall output. It was like giving me the secret to be consistent towards my work.

Introduction

Outside of my academic textbooks, I have only read a few books. Here, I want to talk about a book I received from a friend. I would like to read it again because, after reading it, I found it to be really inspirational and helpful.

I recently finished reading Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's fantastic book "Americanah." This book was suggested by a friend. As soon as my exams were over in March, I started reading it daily and completed it in almost one month.

It was a fictional book. The story of Ifemelu revolves around a young Nigerian woman who travels to the US for her education and makes up the majority of "Americanah." Ifemelu's experiences as an African immigrant are described in the book, along with her difficulties adjusting to American culture and how that affected her identity.

The romance between Ifemelu and Obinze, her childhood beau, is also told in the book. Ifemelu's story interweaves contemplations on race and immigration ideologies with the nuances and complexity of love and identity in the United States.

Why did you find it useful?

"Americanah," offers a distinctive viewpoint on the struggles immigrants face in search of a sense of self, which makes it compelling.  With Adichie's relentless yet accurate language, the reader can recognise Ifemelu's attempt to address issues of ethnic identity, beauty standards, and what it means to belong.

The book also mentions how racism affects many facets of human existence. Ifemelu wrote several insightful blog posts that are included in the book, offering fresh perspectives on racial relations in America. People who are interested in learning more about these subjects should read this book because it is quite insightful.

Conclusion

However, everyone who has ever found themselves torn between two worlds will find great pleasure in Americanah's captivating story of love and identity. Adichie's writing style inspires readers to consider their paths of self-discovery, which many find intriguing and relevant today.

Why did you find it useful?

Many people today think that social skills are the most crucial ability in today's world. It is important to understand how to persuade others to agree with you. This is why I thought this book was essential to my personal growth.

Conclusion

Recall that the sweetest and most significant sound in any language is a person's name. Pay attention well. You can make someone your best friend by encouraging them to share about themselves.

Apart from this, reading is quite important in our daily life to understand whatever is conveyed through writing.

Questions: What type of books do children read nowadays?

Answer: Children's reading habits are generally getting better nowadays. Characters from fantasy, fiction, or the paranormal appear in all the novels they read; these characters are reminiscent of those seen in comic books, anime manga, and storybooks.

Questions: Is compulsory reading (in school) a good idea?

Answer: Indeed, without a doubt. Students need to improve their reading abilities to the point where the majority of them come naturally in order to succeed in other subjects as well. Students shouldn't have to strain to recognise words when reading rapidly for text comprehension. However, reading and writing skills grow via deliberate preparation and teaching. Youngsters must actively and frequently engage in learning or reading the language.
